Master Points (MPs) are awarded to the winners of Amercian Contract Bridge League (ACBL) sanctioned bridge games. Generally, scoring in the top 40% of contenders will earn some MPs, usually a fraction of a point in Club games.
The number and kind of points awarded depends primarily upon the number of participants and the level of play. The points are either black or pigmented or online. Pigmented points are silver, red, or gold. Online points do not have a colour.
The ACBL gives the detailed requirements needed to obtain various ranks. Please note that these requirements vary depending on when you first joined the ACBL and whether or not you let your membership lapse after that.
